I bought this little side table at a garage sale for $5, it had a leather top and looked really outdated. So my mom helped me refinish it!

We sanded down the leather top and painted it with acrylic paint. It was crazy how well it worked!

I made this little towel to match the new barn square on the wall

It took a while to get this thing done and hung up on the wall but here it is!

I love how it turned out! The lines are really crisp, and the trim finishes it out nicely.

Here you can see how the trim of the picture matches the trim around the house. It doesn’t look very big hanging on the wall, but it is pretty huge.

Today (my day off work!) I’m attempting to paint a barn square for my living room.

I picked out the design that I wanted by coloring a few different pictures.

Earlier last week I bought my board, paint and gathered up all the brushes and tape. I’ve never painted a barn square before, but I felt pretty good after drawing the pictures.

So I taped out lines, deciding to paint the outside edge first – and the first attempt ended up like this…

Attempt number two I decided to paint the inside design first, it worked out a little bit better

And the first paint went in!

Now I’m waiting for it to dry, and figuring out how to get the next set of lines in!
