Cutting Felt with my Cricut

I got the chance to try out a new project with my cricut- cutting felt! A friend needed some letters cut for a banner for a wedding.

I cut my felt with a deep cut fabric on a piece of scrap cardboard (to save my cutting mat). It worked incredibly well. The letters are 6″ tall, using George and Basic Shapes cartridge.

A Quick Pattern

I’ve been working on a larger cross stitch piece, but in the mean time I took a break and made this cute and sparkly pattern.

Sometimes it’s nice to finish something quick!

Craft Organization

I had quite the organizing weekend- I finally sorted through things that I’d been putting off in my craft room. I went through a drawer of tangled lace and ribbon, my yarn pile, and my stamps. I even labeled all my scrapbooks:

I added the pictures of my other work here. And also new pictures of our house-which I had been meaning to do for about a year now!

Cross Stitch

The beginning of the year reminds us all we have a fresh start. A new chance to change old habits and learn new things. Once I learned one craft, I wanted to learn them all! Over Christmas my mom taught me the secrets of cross stitching. This was my first attempt, and I learned quite a bit in the process. Now I’ve already started my second project!

Crochet-Mania!

I have seriously been crochet-mania recently. I found some adorable free patterns online and can’t stop making them!

This first one actually doesn’t have a pattern. My mom bought this beautiful headband on one of her travels and helped me duplicate it. Mine’s a little larger than the original, but I feel pretty proud of this first attempt.

This weekend I worked in Nashville, and on the drive I made a tiger and cow hat.

Canning Ring Pumpkin

I love fall and harvest time!

My mom and I had seen these canning ring pumpkins at an antique store and just knew we could make them. I think it turned out even cuter than any other ones I’ve seen!
